Document Recovery provides personalized replacement assistance if your personal documents are lost or stolen. This benefit is not limited to identity theft occurrences and can be used at any time.
Your ID Recovery Specialist will assist you in ascertaining the severity of the event and begin the notification and recovery process. They will help you identify missing documents, contact each and every creditor, bank or agency in question with you over the phone, cancel any affected cards, and take any other additional steps necessary to recover your documents. The member is responsible for any fees imposed by creditors, banks, or state or federal agencies.
In most cases, your assigned ID Recovery Specialist can provide you with the forms necessary to obtain replacement documents on your own, or they can replace your documents on your behalf with your consent. If documents were stolen, they will file a fraud affidavit and police report.
