A lot has happened since March 2021, when we first opened the doors to our state-of-the-art new Device Care Centre (DCC) based in Stoke-on-Trent.
It may have been only geographically a few miles away from our previous facility. But in terms of potential, capacity, functionality, aesthetically, innovation opportunities and bandwidth; the new DCC was much more geared towards supporting Assurant’s best-in-class, market-leading global supply chain ecosystem.
Since opening our volumes have increased by more than 200%, supporting many of the UK’s leading banks, major global manufacturers, retailers and distributors.
A greener facility…
The DCC plays a major role in helping Assurant to deliver on its promises to support a more sustainable future. We’re reducing our carbon footprint with 100% bio-degradable packaging and on course to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 47% through renewable energy by the end of 2024!
Utilising our unique position in the UK, we continue to repair and refurbish thousands of smartphone devices for the second user markets. These devices are growing in popularity as customers make more environmentally driven purchases. Supplied to operator networks, distributors and retailers, this is a market segment primed for significant growth in 2024.
They also offer great value for money and can come with up to 24 months warranty that can be serviced through our Device Care Centre or Pocket Geek Tech repair stores open nationwide.
Getting customers back with their devices fast!
The DCC repairs thousands of smartphone devices every month for our banking, OEM and retail customers. Over 90% of these are repaired within 24 hours, maintaining our high customer satisfaction ratings.
The facility uses the latest in robotics and supply chain excellence to achieve this whilst continually adding to our skilled workforce, as we recognise our people are at the heart of everything we do.
