Mr. Jackson was elected to Assurant’s board of directors in July 2009. Since 2008, Mr. Jackson has served as a senior advisor with New Mountain Capital, LLC, a private investment firm based in New York, and as a board member for several of the firm’s private portfolio companies. He has also chaired the board of SourceMark LLC since 2007. Previously, Mr. Jackson served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the global procurement division of Walmart Inc. (formerly Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.), and from 2004 to 2007, as its Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Dollar General Corporation from 2003 to 2004, and Senior Vice President, Supply Operations for Safeway, Inc. from 1997 to 2003. He also served in various executive roles with PepsiCo, Inc. for 16 years. Mr. Jackson currently serves on the board of directors of Bloomin Brands, Inc. and is a member of its Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. He also serves on the board of directors of John Bean Technologies Corporation and is a member of its Governance and Sustainability and Compensation Committees. Mr. Jackson previously served as a director on the board of Parsons Corporation and as chair of its Compensation Committee.
