Assurant Solutions is delighted to announce that Sky Parkes, UK Fraud Prevention Manager, has taken up the post as Chairman of the Telecommunications UK Fraud Forum (TUFF) Insurance Sub-Group.
TUFF is on the front lines in the ongoing fight against telecommunications fraud. Its aim is to promote an open and co-operative environment to identify and mitigate fraud risks.
Speaking about her appointment, Sky commented:
“I am thrilled to be chairing the TUFF Insurance Sub-Group and representing Assurant Solutions within such an important industry forum. During my career, I have gained counter-fraud experience across a number of insurance sectors, including setting up the first industry-wide disease fraud forum which now resides with the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB). I have always held a firm belief that cross-industry and cross-sector collaboration is the best means by which to truly address the ever growing and evolving problem of fraud. Whilst I aim to continue the good work of my predecessors, I shall be looking to promote and encourage even greater collaboration.”
Assurant Solutions’ Chief Marketing Officer, Europe, Andy Morris, reflected this view:
“Assurant Solutions is the largest provider of mobile phone insurance solutions in the UK.With more than 11 million customers across Europe, Assurant Solutions works to develop effective counter fraud measures. This is an extremely important element of the service we provide to our clients. We are highly supportive of TUFF and look forward to working even more closely with them going forward.”
TUFF is recognised and specified under the Serious Crime Act 2007 as an anti-fraud organisation, a status that is shared with just five other organisations including the IFB and CIFAS.
